Updates From the Chapter:
There have been a lot of recent changes for the Chapter. Thanks to the support of our sponsors, we were able to host our first virtual event free of cost to our attendees (2020 Annual Summer Meeting). We’ve also developed a brand-new 2021 Outreach Program with the overall goals of (1) expanding our professional network, (2) increasing our educational trainings, and (3) engaging and supporting students. Read more about our next steps and how you can get involved below.
There are lots of opportunities for our sponsors to help shape this next chapter for SNEC! For example, with increased newsletters, we’d love for you to share your accomplishments with our network. Email us conservation-related company updates, case studies, job listings, and events to email@example.com. We’d also like to become a useful resource for our sponsor’s professional development needs. Take the survey linked below to let us know more about your needs and how the Chapter can meet these below:
Virtual Conference Information:
As for the Lights Up: Sustainable Solar in New England conference, we’ve been working to move the conference virtual. This topic is too important to be delayed any further. With the state of things as they are, we know the only way we can make this event happen in 2020 is to move it online. We’re currently planning a 2-day virtual event on a Thursday/Friday in November, 2020.
Of course, this move will lead to a shift in our sponsor benefits as we’re no longer able to offer an in-person exhibitor hall or printed posters. However, this new format and extended time-frame will allow us to offer new opportunities for our sponsors. We’ve put together an updated table of sponsor benefits in the graphics below. This table is not yet finalized because we’d like to hear from our sponsors about their specific needs! Please reach out with any questions, comments, or suggestions for our updated sponsor benefits.
