Events & Training

The SNEC offers educational events throughout the year.  We’ve been having summer meetings and winter conferences for some time now; in 2017, we added field training in erosion & sediment control.  If you’re wondering what we have to offer, click some of the links below.

TRAINING SESSIONS

The Southern New England Chapter now offers additional training sessions on Erosion and Sediment Control (E&SC) that combine classroom presentations on topics such as regulatory updates and inspection techniques with field demonstrations of best management practices.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their site plans and questions, and leave with information that can be immediately useful.

SUMMER MEETINGS

Per Article 9 of our Constitution, the Southern New England Chapter has an Annual Meeting each summer at which the SNEC President, Secretary and Treasurer report to the Chapter regarding their respective Chapter activities.  Our habit is to pair the annual business meeting with a field tour to sweeten the pot.  Click these links to see where we’ve been:

WINTER CONFERENCES

The SWCS Southern New England Chapter’s main event of the year is our winter conference.  These events are our opportunity to dig deep into topics of interest to our members, raise funds to support our educational efforts and network with the soil and water conservation community.  Click these links to see who attended and what we learned about:
